£213,000 spent on gritting roads

Roads Service spent £213,000 gritting roads across the Antrim borough over the winter of 2013/2014.

Seventy full grits were carried out on 382km of roads in the borough.

In total, 2,946 tonnes of salt were used.

The figures were provided by the Department in their annual report, presented to Antrim Council last week.
