Appeal over assault

Police in Antrim are appealing for information following an assault at licensed premises in the Main Street area of Randalstown during the early hours of Sunday morning, July 6.

At approximately 1.20am it was reported that a man and woman aged in their 20s had been assaulted in the function room of the premises. The man suffered an injury to his nose in the incident.

A 22-year-old man was subsequently arrested and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone with any information is asked to contact Police in Antrim Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
