Appeal over assaults

Police are appealing for information following the report of an assault in the High Street area on Easter Monday.

It was reported that at around 6pm two male youths were punched and kicked by two men.

One of the men was described as being in his early 30s, around 5’10” tall with dirty fair hair and was wearing a red checked shirt.

The second man was described as being in his 40s with dirty fair hair, a moustache and was wearing a grey t-shirt.

The two youths suffered cuts and bruising following the assault which is being treated as sectarian by police.

Officers would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them in Antrim on the new non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
