Arrest made over drugs

Police in Antrim arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of drugs offences following the search of a car on the Greystone Road on May 12.

At around 11.15am the car was stopped by officers and an amount of suspected cannabis and a sum of cash seized. The man was taken into custody and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police continue to urge any members of the public with information about the illegal use or supply of drugs in the Antrim area to contact them on the non-emergency number 101.

Information can also be given anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
