Lead stolen from Parkhall College

POLICE are investigating the theft of lead flashing from Parkhall College in Antrim.

The Birch Hill Road school was targeted mid-December with approximately £1,500 worth of lead stolen and damage caused.

The lead was taken sometime between 9.30pm on December 18 and 7.30am on December 19.

A spokesperson for the North Eastern Education and Library Board said it was the second time Parkhall had been targetted in the past couple of years.

The spokeswoman added that in the Antrim area, £1,300.42 worth of lead was stolen from schools in the Antrim area since last January. This figure also includes work needed to repair any damage caused as a result of the lead thefts.

Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch on 0845 600 8000.
