Man robbed at Market Square

A sum of cash and personal items were taken during a robbery in the Market Street area of Antrim on Wednesday.

A 26-year-old man was approached by two unknown males at around 12.05pm.

One of the males spoke to the man and attempted to forcibly take the man’s bag from him before his accomplice took the bag, using a bladed instrument.

One of the males is described as being bald, with a heavy build, approximately 40 years old and 5’10” tall. He was wearing a blue sports coat, long tracksuit trousers, and white trainers and had a thick, gold earring in one ear.

The other male is described as being of athletic build, approximately 20-22 years old, 6’ tall and unshaven with dark stubble. He was wearing a woolly hat and a dark red hooded top.

Police would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact Police at Antrim on 0845 600 8000.
