Councillor John Smyth has commended council for carrying out a clean up of the river path in Antrim.
Cllr. Smyth said he had been contacted over concerns about the state of the river path beside Clarke Court.
“There had been an accumulation of leaves as the sweeper was unable to negotiate the overgrown briars and bushes,” Cllr. Smyth said.
He added: “On viewing the growth and accumulated leaves I contacted the council and the combined effort of the parks people and path sweepers resulted in a very favourable outcome.
“The end product is now a very pleasant place to view the Sixmileriver and an unimpeded pathway.
“Once again congratulations to all the staff and workers of Antrim Council.”
