It was reported that a 19-year-old male was in the area of the viaduct with two friends when they were approached by a group of four males and a female.

The grabbed hold of the male and stole a sum of cash from him before making off in the direction of New Street. One of the males are described as being approximately 6’ tall, of slim build, with blonde or ginger coloured hair and wearing a white t-shirt with blue stripes.

A second male is described as being slightly smaller, of slim build and wearing a black coloured t-shirt and dark track bottoms.

Two males aged 22 and 27, and a 22-year-old female were arrested a short time later.

They were interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.
